"Le Sciotot" is a small kitchen knife or a table knife. It is handcrafted.
Its blade, made of 80CRV2 carbon steel, is hand-forged. It has a light "gun barrel" patina. It is integrated into the handle thanks to a semi-hidden tang assembly.
Its handle is made of Birch and it has a laser engraving "Le Sciotot".
Its shape is reminiscent of a surfboard in homage to the Sciotot beach in the northern Cotentin. It is compact but offers a good grip thanks to the wave-shaped notch on the handle.
Warning: Carbon steel requires special maintenance. Since it is not stainless, it is susceptible to rust. In addition, depending on the foods it comes into contact with, it can blacken (it develops a patina). It is recommended to always dry it quickly after use and to oil the blade (it has been treated in the workshop with a wax to limit oxidation).
