The "Edge of Space" is an elegant table knife. It is handcrafted.
It is now available in a folding friction-lock version. The blade is held in place by the handle's clamping mechanism at the axis. This clamping mechanism is adjustable by screwing.
Its blade, made of laminated stainless steel, is hand-forged. It is composed of 135 alternating layers of 19C27 and 7C27Mo2, assembled by the Swedish manufacturer Aleima under the name Damax. It features a filework pattern on its spine.
Its handle is made of Arizona ironwood. This very compact and durable wood is filled with pearlescent blue epoxy resin and finished with a black micarta insert. It features a laser engraving of "EoS" (for Edge of Space) filled with resin.
