The "Edge Of Space" is an elegant table knife. It is handcrafted.
Its blade, made of homemade 3-layer "San Maï" carbon steel, is hand-forged. It has a dark patina. The blade is integrated into the handle thanks to a semi-hidden tang assembly and it has a file work pattern on the top of the tang.
Its handle is made of stabilized Ash burl with a Zirconium insert engraved "EoS".
Carbon steel requires special maintenance. Since it is not stainless, it is sensitive to rust. In addition, depending on the foods it comes into contact with, it can blacken (it develops a patina). It is recommended to always dry it quickly after use and to oil the blade (it has been treated in the workshop with a wax to limit oxidation).
