This knife is immediately identifiable with the Star Trek universe, and more particularly that of Starfleet. It incorporates the color codes and design of the Enterprise officers' uniforms.
Its blade is hand-forged in 14C28N stainless steel. It features a "brute de forge" texture and file work along the tang. Its overall shape obviously evokes the lines of the Starfleet logo.
The handle is made of Red Heart wood and black epoxy resin. The blade is riveted to it with 4 brass pins, symbolizing the captain's rank insignia worn on the collar of Picard's uniform.
