"Le Sciotot" is a small kitchen knife. Its blade is narrower and longer than the original model. It is handcrafted.
Its blade, made of laminated steel, is hand-forged. It consists of five forge-welded layers. Its core is made of 80CRV2 carbon steel, and its outer layers are made of pure nickel and wrought iron from a century-old plow base. Its handle is made of Morta (1,400-year-old bog oak) with a laser-engraved Ash inlay. The blade is inserted into the handle using a semi-hidden tang with a filework pattern.
Its shape is reminiscent of a surfboard, a tribute to Sciotot beach in the northern Cotentin Peninsula. It offers a good grip thanks to the wave-shaped notch in the handle.
