The "Cyber Edge" is a bold-looking table or kitchen knife, handcrafted with care.
Its blade is made of 3-layer laminated steel (or SanMai), forged by hand. The three layers are forge-welded and hammered to achieve its sharp form. The core is made of 80CRV2 carbon steel, with sides crafted from reclaimed wrought iron from a century-old plow base. The blade is integrated into the handle with a semi-hidden tang, subtly fileworked.
The handle is crafted from 1,400-year-old bog oak (or Morta). It features a first insert of pearlescent blue epoxy resin and a second on the top made of engraved Acacia wood bearing the "Cyber Edge" name.
Caution: Carbon steel requires special care. As it is not stainless, it is prone to rust. Depending on the foods it contacts, it may darken (develop a patina). It is recommended to dry it quickly after use and oil the blade (it has been treated in the workshop with wax to reduce oxidation).
